Note: there is one small dent to the right of the crest( pictured)
It is fully marked all over the piece with Hallmarks of Francois Durand, with
the insert being made by Odiot.
Side note:
François DURAND, silversmith to the Duke of ORLEANS, was the pupil of ODIOT and
head of FAUCONNIER's workshop. He participated many times in the Exhibitions of
the Products of Industry of the early nineteenth century but also in the
Universal Exhibitions of London (Crystal Palace, 1851) and Paris (1855) .
